While the advertising for Mount Airy focuses on a diverse audience and is skewed equally between attracting males and females ages 25-55 to the resort, the bullseye demographic for resort-spending is the female audience. RPR created a public relations plan that was geared toward attracting affluent females ages 25-55 to visit Mount Airy, enjoy the spa, the fine dining, the clubs, and the luxury hotel accommodations.
RPR hosted a series of weekend press familiarization trips for “mommy”, parenting, female travel, and mainstream consumer magazine press in an effort to give them a first-hand experience of Mount Airy write positive reviews about their stay. We invited key media to events with entertainers that appeal to the female demographic. Through these and other various initiatives, RPR positioned Mount Airy Casino Resort as the ultimate “hot spot” for weekend girl getaways. RPR secured a TODAY SHOW Segment with Thunder From Down Under (the world’s premier male review) to discuss their performances at Mount Airy’ Bravo TV’s “WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE” for Thunder from Down Under to promote Mount Airy and their shows; Fox 5 TV’s “GOOD DAY NEW YORK;” and an ABC-TV affiliate segment (WNEP-TV) to highlight fine dining at Mount Airy. RPR also secured extensive feature travel articles in Working Mother, NY Post, Contemporary Bride, Parents, and Shape.
