His Excellency Hage Geingob, the President of the Republic of Namibia, has been making transformational political and economic strides since being elected as the country’s leader in 2015. Among his groundbreaking initiatives include the “Invest in Namibia” campaign, to which Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR) was instrumental in promoting to key audiences in the United States.
RPR assisted President Geingob in raising awareness of the initiative by creating, organizing, and executing a high-profile “Invest in Namibia Forum” during the week of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2016. More than 200 leaders, decision makers, investors, politicians, legislators and other business luminaries attended the forum in New York City, which featured a roundtable discussion with President Geingob. The forum and the evening cocktail reception that followed offered the Namibian government a prime opportunity to promote their “Invest in Namibia 2016 Conference” and to develop pivotal relationships.
We also managed all of their event logistics, created VIP guest lists, and secured both media attendance and coverage for both the “Invest in Namibia Forum” and the cocktail reception that followed. By securing the attendance of high-level investors, decision-makers, influencers, CEOs, and other important delegates at both events, RPR successfully assisted President Geingob, his senior officials, and Namibian business leaders in forging strategic relationships and generating new business opportunities.
RPR leveraged President Geingob’s two-day visit to New York City to secure high-impact media coverage on behalf of the “Invest in Namibia” initiative in outlets including The New York Times, Bloomberg Markets, The Street, Asbury Park Press, and NewEra.com.
