Harmony Program

The Harmony Program is a nonprofit organization that brings intensive after-school music programs to communities with limited access to instrumental music education.

Through collective music making, children from underserved communities explore new avenues and realize their full potential. Their specially trained teachers guide students from beginner-group instruction to orchestral performance, building life skills and community from a shared love of music.

RPR successfully promoted the Harmony Program’s 10th Anniversary Gala Benefit on April 25, 2018, featuring performances by Joshua Bell and other prominent musicians, by marketing it as the leading intensive after-school music program for underserved communities. Their overall goal was to generate interest and publicity for Harmony’s high-quality program, positioning it as the “Face of Music Education,” and increasing awareness of the organization amongst target audiences.

RPR placed Harmony’s bylines in numerous top-tier news outlets, such as The New York Daily News, Fox News Online, and The Hub Online, as well as secured media coverage in top local broadcast outlets, including, NY1, Pix 11-TV, CBS New York, and PBS MetroFocus, surrounding the client’s 10th anniversary, along with several calendar listings and social media posts.

Additionally, RPR secured a mayoral proclamation naming April 25, 2018, as “Harmony Program Day” in the City of New York.
