BankMobile is operating as the digital banking division of Customers Bank, which is a Federal Reserve regulated and FDIC-insured commercial bank.
In August 2014, Customers Bank retained Rubenstein Public Relations to begin promotion of BankMobile in order to drive awareness of the new mobile bank. Prior to launch, RPR focused on building awareness of BankMobile, primarily with business, local and trade media. RPR implemented a multifaceted strategy to focus on the differentiators of BankMobile. Initially, the strategy focused on securing business and industry recognition for BankMobile, and then RPR branched out to consumer coverage.
