MANHATTAN HOUSE

Built in 1952, Manhattan House is a landmark modernist architectural icon situated in the prestigious Lenox Hill neighborhood of New York City. In 2005, O’Connor Capital Partners purchased the property and commenced work on the largest condominium-conversion project in New York City history. RPR developed a comprehensive campaign to align Manhattan House with the glamour of a bygone era, thereby distinguishing the property from other offerings in the city.

As a tribute to Manhattan House’s most famous resident, Grace Kelly, RPR forged a strategic partnership with the Princess Grace Foundation, USA, an organization dedicated to supporting emerging artists. Manhattan House demonstrated its support for the foundation by co-sponsoring luncheons, screenings, a gala and other events honoring the film icon on the 25th anniversary of her death. In addition, RPR arranged for four top designers—Alexa Hampton, Campion Platt, Maureen Footer and Jamie Drake—to design show homes imbued with the spirit of Grace Kelly.

RPR’s strategy played a crucial role in generating positive high-profile stories and building a distinctive identity for the property. Manhattan House was featured in two long-lead stories in The New York Times, won coverage in The New York PostReal Estate Weekly and Bloomberg.net, and was positioned on the cover of NY Living.

Favorable coverage of Manhattan House helped drive sales of individual units, and interest in the project continues to climb steadily.
